Butter - Central U.S.

Released on July 09, 2025

In the Central region, milk output is declining. Contacts say components are
down from prior weeks but remain up from a year ago. Cream is available for
purchase, but contacts say spot volumes are less excessive than in previous
weeks. Cream multiples are increasing in the Central region, and contacts say
demand for cream remains strong from both butter and ice cream makers. Contacts
report butter production picked up following the holiday weekend. Domestic
butter demand is light and interest from bulk butter purchasers is picking up.
Export butter demand is strong as domestic prices for butter remain below loads
produced internationally.
